Why does this exert from my companies Intranet SCREAM of George Orwell’s 1984 to me?

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP: Spherion Employment Report – June 2007
More U.S. workers believed in a strengthening economy and job market in June, despite declining confidence in their ability to find a new job themselves, according to the June U.S. Employment Report available for clients and prospects.

Maybe my company is now going to be monitoring what I say in front of my monitor?

This is reminiscent of polls that show a general lack of faith in the US congress and senate but show that individuals have a reasonable or high amount of faith in their senators and congressperson. It’s all about the perspective of the polled, attitudes about the job market in general can be shifted very easily where individual experiences cannot.

Oh, indeed. The entire article is a flop of shit. Thus why it was on the internal site and got no real news coverage. However, I was only making a point of the “Thought Leadership” coming from a company that is known not to care what its people think or want :)
